Woman Critically Injured in Green Oak Township Crash
An older woman suffered life-threatening injuries and another person was hospitalized after a two-vehicle crash Wednesday in Green Oak Township.
The crash happened around 11:40 a.m. on Fieldcrest Road north of Silver Lake Road, a few hundred yards north of the township hall, Deputy Green Oak Fire Chief Tracy Chamberlain told WHMI.
Fire crews found a large pickup truck and a small SUV with heavy damage. The woman was trapped inside the SUV, and firefighters removed her as emergency crews treated her injuries.
Survival Flight took the woman to University of Michigan Hospital. She reached the hospital in critical condition, but the initial report did not provide a later update.
A person associated with the pickup truck suffered minor injuries and was taken to a hospital for evaluation. Green Oak Police assisted with traffic control, and Livingston County EMS helped provide patient care at the crash scene. The crash cause and citation status were not reported.
