We listen before giving you an opinion
Tell us what happened in your own words. We ask questions, look at the facts and deadlines, and avoid rushing to a conclusion.
Since 1989, we have helped people through serious injuries, civil rights violations, and other life-changing legal problems. You can talk with a real person, get a straight answer, and know who is handling your case.
Michigan Legal Center is a Michigan personal injury and civil rights firm founded by Christopher Trainor in downtown Detroit in 1989. We help people after serious injuries, police misconduct, employment violations, and other life-changing legal problems.
Michigan Legal Center is the name used by the Law Offices of Christopher Trainor & Associates. Same attorneys, same offices, same firm.
When you call, you reach our Michigan team. We listen first, explain the next step, and tell you honestly whether we believe we can help.
Christopher Trainor opened the firm in a small downtown Detroit office in 1989. The room was so tight that opening the door bumped the chair where the client sat.
His first clients were referred by Neighborhood Family Legal Services. Many had complicated cases that other attorneys had declined. They needed someone to listen and take the case seriously. Chris built the practice one case at a time by investigating carefully, explaining the options, negotiating when it made sense, and going to court when necessary.
The firm is larger now, but the basic idea has not changed: listen closely, tell people the truth, and do the work a difficult case requires.
A legal case can last months or years. You work with Michigan attorneys, case managers, paralegals, and investigators who know the file and keep it moving. You should know who to call, what the team is doing, and what happens next.
You do not need to know the legal language before you call. Start by telling us what happened. We will help make the next step clear.
Tell us what happened in your own words. We ask questions, look at the facts and deadlines, and avoid rushing to a conclusion.
We explain who is handling your case, what we need from you, and what the next step is.
Most cases do not go to trial. We still gather the evidence and document the harm so the case is ready if that becomes necessary.
We tell you whether we believe we can help, what it may cost, and what options you have. If you do not need a lawyer, we say so.
You should not have to take our word for it. Review real case results, read what clients say, and meet the people who may work on your case.
