Last Updated: April 23, 2026
1. Introduction
Christopher Trainor & Associates, doing business as The Michigan Legal Center (“the Firm,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), provides this Privacy Policy to describe how we handle information submitted through michiganlegalcenter.com (the “Site”). If you do not agree with this Policy, do not use the Site.
This Policy does not apply to information you share with us after becoming a client under a written engagement agreement. That information is governed by the Michigan Rules of Professional Conduct and applicable attorney-client privilege.
2. Do Not Send Confidential Information
Do not send confidential or privileged information through the Site’s contact forms, chat, email, or phone until we confirm in writing that we are able to represent you. Submitting information through the Site does not create an attorney-client relationship. Before an attorney-client relationship is formed, we must complete a conflict check and execute a written engagement letter. The Firm handles information received from prospective clients consistent with Michigan Rule of Professional Conduct 1.18.
Messages sent to us by email, contact form, or chat are not end-to-end encrypted and should not be assumed confidential.
3. Information We Collect
- Information you voluntarily provide through contact forms or chat (name, telephone number, email address, and any details you include about your matter).
- Information you voluntarily provide when requesting downloadable content (email address and, if provided, name).
- Standard website usage information collected through analytics (such as IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed, and referring URL).
The Site does not require accounts and does not use advertising tracking pixels or session-replay tools.
4. How We Use Information
To respond to inquiries, run conflict checks, provide legal services, send you downloadable content you request through the Site, comply with legal and ethical obligations, and maintain the Site.
5. Sharing
We use third-party service providers to host the Site and support our services. We do not sell personal information. We may disclose information as required by law or to comply with the Michigan Rules of Professional Conduct.
6. Minors
The Site is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided information through the Site, contact us and we will delete it.
7. Security
We use reasonable measures to protect personal information. No method of internet transmission is completely secure.
