Terms of Service

The terms governing your use of our website.

Last Updated: April 23, 2026

1. Acceptance

By accessing michiganlegalcenter.com (the “Site”) or clicking “I agree” on a contact form, you agree to these Terms of Service and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.

2. Not Legal Advice; No Attorney-Client Relationship

Information on the Site is for general informational purposes only and is not legal advice. The Firm does not consider an attorney-client relationship formed until the Firm and the client have executed a written engagement agreement. Submitting information through the Site, emailing the Firm, using the chat, or speaking with us during an initial consultation does not, standing alone, establish an attorney-client relationship.

The Firm owes duties to prospective clients under Michigan Rule of Professional Conduct 1.18. Do not send confidential or privileged information through the Site until we confirm in writing that we can represent you.

Nothing in these Terms limits or modifies the Firm’s obligations under the Michigan Rules of Professional Conduct. In the event of any conflict between these Terms and those Rules, the Rules control.

3. Communications Are Not Confidential

Information sent to the Firm by email, contact form, or chat on the Site is not sent through a secure end-to-end encrypted channel. The Firm cannot guarantee the confidentiality of information submitted through the Site.

4. State Licensing; Statute of Limitations

The Firm’s attorneys are licensed to practice in the State of Michigan. Laws vary by state and the Site contains general information that may not apply in any other state.

Statutes of limitations are strict. Every state sets deadlines by which a lawsuit or notice of claim must be filed. Some claims, including claims against government agencies under Michigan law, require written notice within a short period after the incident. If you have an injury or legal claim, consult a lawyer as soon as possible. Delay may permanently bar your claim.

5. Legal Advertising Notice

Content on the Site may qualify as attorney advertising under Michigan Rules of Professional Conduct 7.1–7.3. Past results depend on specific facts and circumstances and are not a guarantee of similar outcomes. The responsible attorney for content on the Site is Christopher Trainor. The principal office of the Firm is 9750 Highland Rd, White Lake, MI 48386.

6. Permitted Use

You may access the Site for personal, non-commercial informational purposes. You may not reverse-engineer, scrape, or harvest the Site; remove proprietary notices; frame or mirror the Site; or use the Site for any unlawful purpose. All trademarks and copyrighted content on the Site are the property of their respective owners.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Site is provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or accuracy. The Firm does not warrant that Site content is accurate, complete, or current.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Firm and its personnel are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Site. The Firm’s aggregate liability for any claim arising out of the Site will not exceed one hundred dollars (US$100). Nothing in this section limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including for gross negligence, willful misconduct, fraud, or violations of the Michigan Rules of Professional Conduct.

9. Governing Law and Venue

These Terms are governed by Michigan law, without regard to conflicts-of-laws principles. The state and federal courts located in Oakland County, Michigan, have exclusive jurisdiction over any claim arising out of the Site or these Terms.

10. Changes

The Firm may update these Terms by posting a revised version with an updated “Last updated” date. Your continued use of the Site after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

11. Severability; Entire Agreement

If any provision is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and the Firm regarding the Site, except that these Terms do not supersede any engagement agreement between the Firm and a client.
