Flint man dies after Saginaw Road crash
A 30-year-old Flint man died after a two-vehicle crash Sunday night.
The Grand Blanc Township Police Department responded around 10:22 p.m. to the crash in the 9000 block of Saginaw Road. The department said 911 callers reported injuries and one driver trapped inside a vehicle.
A preliminary investigation found that the Flint man was driving a 2009 Pontiac G6 and turning left on Saginaw Road. A northbound 2016 Chevrolet Cruze driven by a 23-year-old Davison woman hit the Pontiac driver’s door.
The Grand Blanc Township Fire Department freed the man from the Pontiac. Patriot Ambulance took him to Henry Ford Hospital, where he was pronounced dead from his injuries.
The Genesee County Sheriff’s Office and Grand Blanc City Police also assisted at the scene.
Police said alcohol is believed to have been a factor. The Crash Investigation Reconstruction Team is investigating.
