Child on bicycle hospitalized in Detroit

A child was sent to the hospital Monday after being hit by a car while riding a bike. The accident took place in Detroit on Monday night.

Police said the child was in stable condition after being taken to a hospital.

Detroit Police Department officers were dispatched to East Outer Drive and Whittier Avenue about 8:08 p.m. Sept. 28 after a report that a child had been hit. Medics took the child to a Metro Detroit hospital.
