Power restored after hit-and-run damages pole in Kalamazoo
Power was restored Tuesday morning after a vehicle struck a utility pole in Kalamazoo, cutting electricity to about 20 customers.
Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety officers responded around 4:30 a.m. to the intersection of North Park Street and West Paterson Street.
The department had not identified the driver or any other occupants of the vehicle. Officers also did not know whether anyone was injured.
The outage affected the traffic signal at North Park and West Paterson. Consumers Energy’s outage map showed service had been restored by 8:30 a.m.
