Detroit woman dies after being struck on Davison Freeway
A Detroit woman died early Wednesday after she was struck by a vehicle on the Davison Freeway.
Michigan State Police said troopers were called about 12:21 a.m. July 29 to eastbound M-8 near Oakland Avenue in Detroit.
A preliminary investigation found that the woman entered the freeway on foot and was struck by a passing vehicle, police said. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Troopers are investigating why the woman entered the freeway. Eastbound M-8 was closed while troopers investigated and has since reopened.
