Woman dies after multi-vehicle crash in Detroit

A woman died after a Saturday evening crash involving multiple vehicles, including a motorcycle, on Detroit’s east side.

Detroit Police Department officers responded around 6:52 p.m. Sept. 26 near Gratiot Avenue and Whithorn Street. Medics took the woman to a hospital, where she later died.

Police have not said whether she was on the motorcycle or in another vehicle, or what caused the crash. Anyone with information can call the Detroit Police Department’s Fatal Squad at 313-596-2260.
