Two drivers die after head on crash near Lennon
Two drivers died in a head on crash Saturday evening in Venice Township.
Michigan State Police said the crash occurred about 6:30 p.m. Aug. 1 on Durand Road near Lennon Road.
Preliminary information indicates a 56-year-old Byron woman was driving a 2018 Chevrolet Silverado southbound when it collided head-on with a 2020 GMC Sierra driven northbound by a 37-year-old Flint man.
Both drivers sustained life threatening injuries. Police, fire and EMS personnel treated them at the scene before transporting them to a local hospital, where each was pronounced dead a short time later.
The crash remains under investigation.
