Pedestrian killed in hit-and-run in Detroit
A pedestrian was killed after being hit by a car in Detroit late Tuesday night.
According to Detroit police, the crash happened at around 9:38 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 11. The pedestrian was walking around Plymouth and Evergreen roads when he was hit by an unknown car.
The driver fled the scene. Police have not released any details about the vehicle and are continuing to investigate.

Michigan claims after a fatal pedestrian crash
Personal injury protection (PIP) benefits may cover pedestrians as well as motorists. Depending on the circumstances, they can include funeral and burial expenses and other survivor’s loss benefits. Pedestrians are often covered by their own insurance policy for PIP or the policy of their spouse or another family member living with them.
