Man dies in Palmyra Township motorcycle crash
A 32-year-old Adrian man died after his motorcycle left the road at a curve and crashed in an open field.
Michigan State Police Monroe Post troopers discovered the crash early Thursday, Sept. 10, near U.S. 223 and Ogden Highway in Lenawee County’s Palmyra Township. Investigators believe it happened late Wednesday night or early Thursday morning.
A preliminary investigation found that he was riding north when he failed to make the curve and left the road. He was taken to ProMedica Hickman Hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
Troopers believe alcohol and speed were factors in the crash. The investigation remains ongoing.
U.S. 223 near Ogden Highway was closed while troopers investigated. The Lenawee County Sheriff’s Department and Palmyra Fire Department assisted at the scene.
