Fatal Motorcycle Crash Closes Area in Dearborn Heights

A fatal crash involving a motorcycle closed the area around Beech Daly and Richardson in Dearborn Heights on Thursday night, police said.
Dearborn Heights police announced the closure on social media while officers investigated the crash. ClickOnDetroit reported that emergency medical personnel and officers cleared the scene and the area reopened around 9:30 p.m.
The initial reports did not identify the person who died or describe how the crash happened. Police also had not said whether another vehicle was involved or how many vehicles were part of the crash.
Police said the investigation remained active Thursday night. The initial announcements did not provide further incident details.
