Detroit, MI (August 20, 2023) - On the evening of August 20th, police in Detroit responded to a call of an accident involving injuries on southbound Interstate 75.
According to reports from the DPD and the Michigan DOT, a multi-vehicle collision happened on the southbound side of the highway just before 6:15 p.m., not far from the exit and off-ramp to Rochester Road. Officials believe two drivers and a small group of passengers were engaged in the incident, which resulted in the closure of all lanes and the deployment of emergency personnel.
Shortly after, paramedics came, but there has been no word from authorities on the victims' situations.
Meanwhile, police are continuing to investigate the collision and will release any new information they find.
We are hoping for a speedy recovery for the wounded and their loved ones.
The number of auto accidents has been steadily increasing over the last several years, both nationally and in many particular states. Most collisions are avoidable; those brought on by speeding, irresponsible driving, and driver attention may be stopped.
However, if the collision was caused by the other driver's carelessness or recklessness, you have the legal right to sue for damages. Automobile accident victims often deal with both long-term physical pain and suffering and considerable financial challenges. Even in low-speed or apparently small occurrences, severe injuries such as brain injuries, burns, spinal cord injuries, shattered bones, internal bleeding, and so on are all too prevalent. Victims often experience PTSD, anxiety, frustration, and uncertainty after having their life turned upside down.
If you've been in a vehicle accident that was obviously the fault of the other driver and are now struggling to make ends meet, Michigan's personal injury law may be complex and difficult. When victims attempt to settle with insurance companies on their own, the firms will try to pay out as little as possible.
However, if you hire a lawyer, you may have a better chance of getting the money you need after an accident. Hiring a lawyer on contingency also doesn't need any money upfront. Only if your lawsuit is settled out of court or if you win in court will your lawyer be compensated. A reasonable percentage of your settlement money, between 30% and 40%, should go to your attorney. Furthermore, you will incur no legal costs regardless of the outcome of your case.
