Flint Township, MI (August 3, 2023) - On Wednesday night, numerous lanes of Interstate 75 in Flint Township were closed for several hours as police reacted to a rollover incident with casualties.

According to the Michigan Department of Transportation, the accident happened at about 6:00 p.m. on southbound I-75, not far from the Pierson Road exit. According to the police, debris from the event could be seen on both sides of Interstate 75.

The closure of two southbound lanes and one northbound lane brought a full standstill to traffic in both directions. All lanes were reopened by Wednesday night, but police in Flint Township have not confirmed if anybody was badly harmed. The local news showed EMTs helping at least two people, but they didn't say how many.

The injured and their loved ones are in our thoughts.

Michigan's Rate of Interstate Car Crashes

Injuries sustained in automobile accidents in Michigan usually are so severe that they must be treated medically and rehabilitatively for extended periods of time. What's worse is that most car accidents are the result of reckless driving by other drivers.

However, if you were hurt in a car accident recently, you could have a case for compensation. While it's true that not every lawyer or business in Michigan that handles auto accident claims is the same, having legal representation can help you focus on healing while they handle the legal details.

An attorney can assist you in determining the scope of your insurance coverage, for instance. Your potential financial recovery from a vehicle crash in Michigan will depend on a number of factors, including the insurance policy's maximum, the extent of your injuries, the cost of treatment, and the risk of permanent disability.

Furthermore, PIP (Personal Injury Protection) insurance is required for most drivers in Michigan. This insurance will assist with the costs associated with treating injuries sustained in a car crash. Furthermore, as "no-fault" coverage, this safety net applies regardless of who caused the car crash.

In addition, drivers in Michigan can select a PIP cap between $0 and $500,000, $250,000, or $50,000. The primary issue with PIP insurance is that it only pays for "out-of-pocket" expenses, such as medical bills, for those involved in an accident, even if the driver has PIP coverage. In addition, the insurance company will only pay for medical bills up to the policyholder-selected PIP amount in the event of an accident.

The next step, if applicable, is to file a claim with the at-fault driver's insurance company for financial damages. If you were left permanently crippled or disfigured as a result of your accident, for example, you may be eligible for further compensation from third-party insurance companies.
