According to the Social Security Administration, Michigan, Pension can be reduced due to the amount of Social Security benefits you are receiving if the plan provides for the integration of benefits. After 1988, no more than 50% can be lost.
Supplemental Security Income, or SSI, is a program for those that are disabled or over the age of 65.
Other ways to be eligible for SSI would be earning a low amount of money (under $520 per month) and not owning many things (total asset value is under $2,000)
