Monroe Co., MI – Woman, Infant Killed in Truck Wreck on S Custer Rd

Monroe Co., MI (October 16, 2024) – A 19-year-old woman and an infant both lost their lives as a result of a truck wreck that occurred on Tuesday morning in Monroe County.

Reports show that a motor vehicle accident involving a semi-truck tractor-trailer and a sedan occurred on South Custer Road near Lewis Avenue. The impact of the crash caused the card to be trapped underneath the truck. The driver of the car, a 19-year-old female, and an infant child in the backseat both sustained severe injuries. The woman was pronounced deceased at the scene as a result of her injuries. The baby was rushed to an area hospital, where they passed away later on. At this time, the incident is under investigation.
