Car Accidents in Michigan

Flint, MI – Collision Reported on Edwards Ave near W Flint Park BlvdDealing with the physical and emotional pain following a crash can be incredibly challenging. In Michigan, tens of thousands of accidents result in injuries every year, leaving victims to face extensive medical treatment and time away from work that can last weeks or even months. Some of the most common injuries reported in vehicle collisions include:

  • Contusions: These are bruises that occur when small blood vessels are damaged, leading to discoloration and swelling at the impact site. They can be painful and may take time to heal.
  • Airbag injuries: While airbags are designed to save lives, they can sometimes cause injuries such as abrasions, lacerations, or even fractures if deployed with great force during a collision.
  • Burns: In some accidents, especially those involving fire or friction, individuals may sustain burns. These can range from minor first-degree burns to more severe second or third-degree burns, requiring medical attention.
  • Facial injuries: The face is particularly vulnerable during collisions, and common injuries can include fractures to the jaw or cheekbone, lacerations, or dental injuries. These injuries can significantly impact an individual's appearance and ability to eat or speak.
  • Amputation: In severe accidents, there is a risk of limb amputation, either due to the impact itself or as a result of medical interventions required to save a person's life. This can lead to long-term physical and emotional challenges for the affected individuals.
