Wyoming, MI (May 21, 2024) – A motor vehicle accident reported in the Wyoming area sent an unknown number of people to area hospitals with injuries. The Michigan Department of Transportation informed police and firefighters of the accident at around 8:30 a.m. on May 20.

According to police reports, the right lane of 28th Street westbound was blocked at US Highway 131 as a result of a vehicle collision. The incident caused delays throughout the area. Police and firefighters secured a portion of the roadway to remove the involved vehicles. Paramedics were summoned to the scene to care for injured victims. Those who required further medical care were transported to local hospitals. At this time, the circumstances surrounding the accident are being investigated.
