Sterling Heights, MI (March 10, 2024) – An elderly man was transported to an area hospital with injuries following a pedestrian accident that occurred in Sterling Heights on Friday, March 8.
At approximately 8:00 p.m., the Sterling Heights Police Department and Sterling Heights Fire Department responded to the scene of an automobile accident that occurred on 18 Mile Road. Crash reports indicate that an elderly man was struck by a vehicle in front of the Kroger gas station located near the intersection of 18 Mile Road in Dequindre Road. The man was seriously injured in the accident. He was transported to Troy Beaumont Hospital for emergency treatment. The police department is investigating the accident.
