Livonia, MI (February 24, 2024) – At 7:35 a.m. on February 23, the Michigan State Police responded to the scene of a car crash that occurred in Livonia. Reports from the Michigan Department of Transportation indicate that a collision occurred on Interstate 96.
Authorities arrived at the scene and blocked off multiple eastbound lanes of the Jeffries Freeway near the off-ramp to Newburgh Road. Delays were reported in the area as emergency crews remained on site clearing the scene. At least one of the people involved in the accident sustained injuries and had to be transported by ambulance to a local hospital for further medical care. The circumstances surrounding the accident are currently being investigated.
