Adams Twp., MI (February 19, 2024) – Emergency crews in Adams Township were called to the scene of an automobile accident that sent multiple victims to local hospitals with injuries. The accident was reported around 1:30 p.m. on February 15.
Local news sources in the key that two vehicles collided on Michigan 26 near Erickson Drive. Further investigations determined that a 17-year-old female was driving northbound on the roadway when her vehicle collided with a southbound vehicle. The 17-year-old became trapped inside her vehicle. Firefighters responded to the scene to extricate the victim. The driver and her passenger, also a 17-year-old, were both transported to U.P. Health System – Portage for emergency medical. The driver of the southbound vehicle, a 26-year-old, was also transported to an area hospital. Multiple law enforcement agency currently investigating.
