Oakland, MI – MSP Responds to Auto Wreck on I-696 at M-10

Oakland, MI (February 16, 2024) – Officers with the Michigan State Police responded to the scene of a vehicle accident that occurred on Friday morning in Oakland. Calls for help came in at approximately 7:50 a.m. on February 16.

Police reports indicate that a crash occurred on the eastbound side of Interstate 696. The incident prompted authorities to close the roadway near Michigan 10, Northwestern Highway. The incident caused delays in traffic that extended back from Exit 10 toward Exit 8 as the police and firefighters worked to clear the scene. At least one person was transported to a local hospital following the crash, where they were provided medical care for their injuries. The state police are investigating the incident.
