St Clair, MI – Woman Killed in Crash on I-69 near Wales Center Rd

St Clair, MI (February 7, 2024) – Authorities confirmed that a woman lost her life as a result of a fatal collision that occurred on Tuesday morning in St. Clair County. The incident took place at approximately 5:30 a.m. on February 6.

According to official reports, a dark blue Ford Fusion was involved in a collision with an unknown number of vehicles on the westbound side of Interstate 69. As a result of the crash, the Ford rolled over near the median by the exit ramp for Wales Center Road. One woman involved in the accident was severely injured after being ejected from the vehicle. Authorities arrived at the scene and attempted to perform CPR on the victim. However, the driver, an 18-year-old female, was pronounced deceased as a result of her injuries. A young child was also ejected from the vehicle. Authorities confirmed that a two-year-old and a six-month-old were both transported to St. John Moross Hospital for emergency treatment. At this time, the incident is being investigated.
