Kalamazoo, MI (January 19, 2024) – Emergency crews were summoned to provide assistance at the scene of an automobile accident that took place in Kalamazoo County and ended in injuries. Calls for assistance came in just after 12:50 p.m. on January 18.
Law enforcement reports indicate that an automobile accident occurred on the southbound side of US Highway 131. The incident blocked the left lane of the road just after Business US Highway 131 in Kalamazoo. The incident prompted officials to close off a portion of the road as they worked to remove the involved vehicles from the scene. Emergency medical services were summoned to care for the injured victims while on site. An unknown number of people were transported to area hospitals, where they underwent further treatment for the injuries they incurred. At this time, the accident is under investigation.
