Sterling Heights, MI – Accident Reported on 17 Mile Rd at Mound Rd

Sterling Heights, MI (January 12, 2024) – The Michigan State Police responded to the scene of a car crash that took place in the Sterling Heights area and ended in injuries. At around 6:25 p.m. on January 11, authorities were notified that assistance was needed at the scene of a crash on 17 Mile Road.

Official reports show that a collision blocked the eastbound side of the roadway near Mound Road. Delays in traffic were reported between Mound Road and Highway 53 as emergency crews worked to clear the scene. Emergency medical services were summoned to care for injured victims and transport those who required further care to local hospitals. The circumstances surrounding the accident are under investigation by the Michigan State Police at this time.
