Detroit, MI (January 8, 2024) – The Detroit Police Department confirmed that one man lost his life as a result of a fatal accident that took place during the early morning hours on Sunday, January 7.

Official reports indicate that a U-Haul truck was involved in a collision on West 8 Mile Road near Granville Avenue. As a result of the crash, the truck struck a pole near the intersection. The driver of the truck, identified as an adult male, was pronounced deceased as a result of his injuries while on site. No other injuries were reported. At this time, the Detroit Police Department is investigating.
