Detroit, MI (November 6, 2023) - According to Michigan State Police, a teen died, and another person is in serious condition after a rollover crash on Sunday afternoon.
At 3:50 p.m. on November 5th, police received reports of a car that had flipped on westbound I-96 in the Fullerton Avenue area of Detroit. The preliminary investigation, according to the authorities, indicated that the Dearborn teen driver, who was just 16 at the time, died.
The passenger, a 16-year-old from Dearborn, was thrown from the moving car. They remain in serious condition after being taken by ambulance to a nearby medical facility.
The freeway was blocked as authorities determined the cause of the collision. No further details were reported in the interim.
