Sterling Heights, MI – I-696 Crash Reported near Van Dyke Ave

Sterling Heights, MI (December 15, 2023) - At least one person was transported to an area hospital following a car crash that took place on Thursday, December 14. The Michigan State Police and local firefighters were called to the scene of the accident just before 8:00 a.m.

According to law enforcement, a vehicle collision blocked the eastbound side of Interstate 696. The crash caused some disruptions in the area near Van Dyke Avenue as emergency officials worked to remove the involved vehicles from the scene. Medical personnel provided treatment to the injured parties while on site before transporting them to local hospitals. At this time, the Michigan State Police are investigating to determine what caused this accident to occur.
