Washington Twp., MI (December 11, 2023) – Two men from Metro Detroit lost their lives as a result of a fatal accident that took place during the afternoon hours on Sunday, December 10. Police and firefighters out of Macomb County responded to the scene of the accident on West Van Dyke Avenue.

According to official reports, a white Ford Bronco was traveling south on West Dyke Avenue when the vehicle crossed over the center line and collided with a silver Toyota Prius. A gray Chevrolet 200 then collided with the rear end of the Prius. The Bronco then went off the roadway and struck a utility pole. The incident blocked several lanes of the road as emergency crews worked to clear the scene.

The 58-year-old man driving the Bronco and a 38-year-old male passenger in the Prius both suffered fatal injuries and were pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver of the Chrysler and the driver of the Prius were also injured in the accident and transported to area hospitals. At this time, the incident is being investigated.
