Grand Blanc, MI (October 16, 2023) - A 75-year-old woman who was injured in a two-car accident in Grand Blanc Township on Friday afternoon is still in the hospital, according to police.
A serious collision was reported near the intersection of East Hill Road and Interstate 475 in Grand Blanc Township at roughly 1:00 p.m. on October 13.
According to police, emergency personnel arrived to find a two-car collision with a seriously injured passenger in one of the cars. A GMC pickup truck driven by a 39-year-old Houghton Lake man collided with a StarCraft bus operated by The Oaks of Woodfield as both vehicles were traveling east on East Hill Road, police stated.
Per authorities, the bus was taking the exit from southbound I-475 onto East Hill Road when the collision occurred. Also on board the bus were two workers and a 75-year-old woman.
EMTs said the woman's injuries were so severe that she needed to be rushed to Hurley Medical Center.
The collision was not caused by drugs or alcohol, though an investigation is still ongoing. The current conditions of the other victims involved also remain unknown.
