Detroit, MI (October 6, 2023) - At least one person was hurt in a crash involving multiple drivers that occurred on Interstate 75 in Detroit on Friday evening, October 6.
The incident occurred around 8:40 p.m. on northbound I-75 and eventually closed several lanes of the highway following the exit to Michigan Highway 39. The accident scene was cordoned off once deputies from the Wayne County Sheriff's Office arrived. However, authorities did not release specific details about the crash's victims and their conditions.
Although emergency medical responders were sent to the scene to evaluate the victims and bring those seriously injured to the hospital, it is unknown how severe their injuries or current conditions are.
The Wayne County Sheriff's Office and the Detroit Police Department are conducting a joint investigation. Deputies and local law enforcement are now interviewing potential witnesses.
