Detroit, MI (September 16, 2023) - On Saturday morning, September 16, a number of vehicles collided on Michigan Highway 50, shutting down both directions of the roadway and leading to a handful of injured victims.
Officers were sent to the scene promptly by the Detroit Police Department. According to the Michigan Department of Transportation's report for the Lenawee County area, at least two or three drivers were involved in the incident, which caused the closure of both directions of M-50 at Springville Highway.
Around 6:50 a.m., police from Detroit and the Michigan State Police arrived to begin their investigation. The Detroit Police Department also sent in medical help from local paramedics, although the exact number of casualties is unknown at this time.
The DPD is wrapping up witness interviews and moving on with their investigation in the interim.
