Detroit, MI (August 10, 2023) - Two cars collided early Thursday morning on Detroit's east side, resulting in the death of one man, according to police.
The incident occurred on Thursday morning at 5:30 a.m. on Interstate 94's Service Drive at Moross.
The victim, who was driving a Pontiac Grand Prix, is thought to have been rear-ended by the driver of a Ford Focus, sending his car careening off the roadway, striking a gas line, and ultimately crashing into a house on Moross. The man was pronounced dead at the scene by authorities shortly thereafter.
The driver of the Focus was unharmed and remained at the crash site.
Officers with the Detroit Police Department are conducting an investigation but have not provided additional details regarding the wreck.
