Detroit, MI (July 28, 2023) - On Friday morning, July 28, officers from the Detroit Police Department reported an apparent injury-causing collision on the eastbound side of Interstate 94.
The Michigan Department of Transportation reported that the accident involved at least two drivers and took place around 7:15 a.m. Police at the scene added that the right lanes and exit ramp at Allard Avenue were blocked for at least an hour.
DPD officers completely blocked off the area and called for paramedics shortly after the incident was initially reported. However, no details about the drivers or their injuries have been made public.
Investigatory duties have been delegated to the DPD, who intend to disseminate more information publicly as it becomes available.
