Hartland Twp, MI (July 10, 2023) - A single-vehicle crash in Hartland Township resulted in the injury of four teenagers on Sunday, July 9.
The accident was reported on Bullard Road at around 3:20 a.m. as four teens were traveling in a Chevrolet Impala. The vehicle was speeding southbound when it left the road and crashed head-on with a nearby tree. The impact caused the vehicle to rebound and overturn on the roadway.
The 16-year-old Howell teen driving the vehicle was hurt. The 18-year-old Fenton teen riding in the front seat suffered life-threatening injuries and had to be extricated by emergency responders. The 17-year-old and 16-year-old in the rear passenger seats were also injured and hospitalized.
All the victims were transported to the University of Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor for treatment.
An ongoing investigation into the cause of the accident is in progress.
