Venay Twp, MI (June 30, 2023) - Three people were injured after a car accident in Venay Township on Thursday, June 29.

The accident was reported at the intersection of College and Columbia Roads at around 1:30 p.m. An 83-year-old woman from Mason was traveling northbound when she was hit by a southbound car driven by a 26-year-old Mason man.

The Mason woman was hospitalized for treatment of sustained injuries. A 23-year-old woman traveling with the Mason man suffered critical injuries. No updates on her condition have been provided at this time.

An ongoing investigation into the cause of the crash is in progress.
