Motorcycles were involved in 2,723 traffic accidents in Michigan last year, 122 motorcycle riders lost their lives, and 2,176 were injured in traffic accidents. A total of 36 of the 122 motorcycle fatalities were caused by intoxication, while four were caused by distracted driving. Despite making up less than 0.3 percent of all registered cars, motorcycles were involved in roughly 1% of all Michigan traffic accidents. Regardless of whether you have insurance or not, your first call after an accident should be to a Michigan motorcycle accident attorney. If you have coverage, it might cover some of your losses or the cost of fixing your bike, but what if you missed work or you had expensive add-on accessories that they would not cover? You will need the services of an experienced motorcycle law firm to assess your case if you want to seek a personal injury claim, your motorcycle has sustained significant damage, or you were hospitalized following a major accident. It must be established which insurance provider will cover all of your hospital bills and medical expenses if you were hurt in a motorcycle accident and are eligible for no-fault insurance coverage. If you want to ensure that medical expenses would be covered in the event of injury in an accident, many bikers add medical pay coverage to their motorcycle insurance. This is crucial because no-fault medical benefits will not be provided, and your bills might not be reimbursed if another car was not involved in the collision. The lawyers at Christopher Trainor & Associates can help you get the full amount of compensation you are entitled to for your injuries and other damages if you were hurt in a car accident.
