Detroit, MI (June 4, 2023) - A pedestrian was killed after being struck by a Detroit Department of Transportation bus on Friday morning, June 2.
The fatal crash occurred at the corner of Griswold Street and Congress Street near the Guardian Building in Downtown Detroit. The bus was headed westbound when it hit the pedestrian. The victim was reportedly en route to work at the Buhl Building.
The victim suffered fatal injuries. She was later identified as Janice Bauer. No additional information has been provided at this time.
Local authorities are investigating the cause of the fatal crash.
