Gun Plain Twp, MI (March 14, 2022) - The northbound lanes of US-131 were closed for multiple hours on Saturday, March 12 due to a multi-vehicle accident. The wreck was reported at around 11:00 a.m. north of Plainwell.

Reports stated that 20 vehicles were involved in the wreck. US-131 was closed at mile marker 49 and backed up into Kalamazoo County Dispatch. Southbound US-131 was briefly closed as well.

Various responders were observed at the scene including police, EMTs, and fire crews. The extent of any injuries suffered has not been reported at this time.

Police in Gun Plain continue to investigate the circumstances of the accident.
