Pine, MI (March 10, 2022) - Three people sustained injuries in a traffic accident involving a buggy in Montcalm County on Thursday, March 10. According to information from reports, the wreck occurred on M-91.
Sources say the accident happened near the intersection with Briggs Road in Pine Township north of Greenville. Michigan State Police said the incident occurred when a pickup truck was traveling south on M-91 and crossed over the centerline where they struck an oncoming Amish buggy.
The driver of the buggy was airlifted to an area hospital with injuries deemed to be life-threatening. A passenger was also transported to an area hospital with serious injuries. The pickup truck’s driver was taken to the hospital with injuries not considered to be life-threatening.
The horse who was pulling the buggy was killed in the accident.
