Waterford, MI (March 9, 2022) - Several people were hurt in a multi-vehicle accident that shut down a part of Huron Street for close to four hours on Tuesday, March 8. The wreck was reported to officials in the area at approximately 4:00 p.m.
Police in Waterford reported that a 2008 Dodge Charger driven by a man from Pontiac collided head-on with a 2016 GMC Terrain driven by a woman from Waterford. A Ford Taurus, driven by a woman from Detroit, then collided with the Terrain and the Charger.
Police stated that the driver and two passengers present in the Dodge were transported to a local hospital with severe injuries. The driver of the Terrain was also hospitalized with a serious injury along with a passenger in the Taurus. The Taurus’s driver was also injured.
At this time, police in Waterford continue to investigate the details of the collision. Huron Street was shut down between Voorheis Road and Elizabeth Lake Road for several hours while crews worked on-site.
