Traveling by car comes with serious risks. Each time you get behind the wheel or travel as a passenger in a vehicle, you run the risk of sustaining serious injuries if you become involved in a collision. Car wrecks in the United States take the lives of tens of thousands of people each year. In one recent year, nearly 1,000 people lost their lives in car wrecks in Michigan, and over 70,000 sustained injuries.
