Detroit, MI (February 21, 2022) - Two teens were injured with one in critical condition following a head-on collision between two cars, according to information provided by the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office.
At approximately 9:20 p.m. on Sunday, February 20, police responded to reports of a collision in Orion Township on Clarkston Road near Beach Drive. Authorities stated that a 16-year-old was headed west on Clarkston in a 2004 Ford Ranger when they were involved in a crash with a 2013 Ford F-350 headed east.
The vehicles collided in a no-passing zone. The 16-year-old driver is currently in critical condition while his 17-year-old passenger suffered injuries. The F-350 was being driven by a 21-year-old who was not injured in the crash.
Authorities suspect alcohol was involved and continue to investigate the circumstances of the accident.
