Charlotte, MI (February 13, 2022) - A collision occurred in Charlotte on the afternoon of February 13. The wreck was reported to officials in the area at around 12:15 p.m.
Sources indicate that the crash happened in the eastbound lanes of Interstate 96 after Interstate 496, exit 95, for reasons not currently determined. Emergency responders at the scene assisted those with injuries at the scene. Extensively injured patients were taken to area medical centers for further care if necessary.
The names of the injured victims have not been released at this time. Police in Charlotte will continue to investigate the circumstances of the crash.
Traffic was delayed in the area for an extensive period of time while crews worked to secure the scene. Drivers commuting in the vicinity of the site of the collision were asked by authorities to seek alternative routes of travel for the time being.
