Warren, MI - One Killed in Crash with 18-Wheeler on Van Dyke Ave near E 8 Mile Rd

Warren, MI (February 11, 2022) - One person lost their life after they were involved in a traffic collision with an 18-wheeler. The wreck happened in Warren on the morning of Tuesday, February 8. Initial reports state that officers actively responded to the intersection where the crash occurred at approximately 2:20 a.m. 

Reports show that the incident took place at the intersection of Van Dyke Avenue and 8 Mile Road when a Chevy was traveling down 8 Mile near Ryan Road. For reasons currently unknown, the Chevy collided with a semi-truck. 

Responders found the vehicle underneath the semi upon their arrival at the crash scene. The driver of the Chevy lost their life in the collision, sources said. The condition of the truck driver has not been released. 

Officials shut down the area while crews worked at the scene. No further information has been released concerning the collision at this time.
