Hazel Park, MI (February 11, 2022) - Two people lost their lives on Thursday, February 10 after a driver collided with the median wall of an interstate in Hazel Park and rolled over. Authorities stated that the vehicle was spotted driving erratically just before the collision took place.
According to reports, the wreck happened at around 9:30 p.m. on Interstate 75 just north of 8 Mile Road. The driver struck the wall on the southbound side of the freeway and flipped the vehicle.
Both the driver and passenger were killed in the accident. Neither of them has been identified at this time. Police and paramedics were observed at the scene shortly after the incident occurred.
A portion of I-75 was closed near 8 Mile Road for an extended period of time during the late evening hours of February 10 while crews worked to clear the crash site.
