Redford Charter, MI - Woman Killed After Stalled Vehicle Struck on I-96

Redford Charter, MI (January 27, 2022) - A woman was killed after her stalled vehicle was hit on an interstate in Redford Charter Township on Wednesday morning, January 26. The deadly crash took place on Interstate 96 near Telegraph Road at around 2:30 a.m. 

A woman in her 20s was sitting in stalled Hyundai sedan at the time of the collision. A BMW SUV crashed into the rear of the stalled car. The man in his 40s driving the BMW told authorities he was exiting the highway and was unable to see the vehicle. 

The woman was reportedly experiencing issues with her car and pulled over onto the shoulder. She suffered fatal injuries and was later pronounced dead. Her identity has not been revealed at this time. 

An ongoing investigation into the cause of the fatal crash is underway.
