A head-on collision is more likely than other types of traffic accidents to result in fatal injuries. Head-on collisions are among the deadliest, with a death rate of over 58%. Despite accounting for less than 2% of all reported traffic accidents, they are responsible for more than 10% of all annual road fatalities. The most common cause of these collisions is careless or distracted drivers swerving into opposing lanes of traffic.
Wrongful death lawsuits are intended to compensate surviving family members when a loved one dies as a result of another party's negligence. Obtaining that compensation, on the other hand, is frequently easier said than done. Just because the victim died does not absolve the at-fault party of responsibility. Insurance companies for those who are at fault will frequently try to shift blame for a fatal accident. Instead of paying compensation to the family members of the deceased after a fatal car accident, the defendant should pay compensation to the family members of the deceased to assist with accident-related expenses. Only a personal injury attorney in Comstock Township with years of experience helping victims pursue wrongful death claims can help you achieve this.
