Merritt Twp, MI (January 5, 2022) - A pedestrian was killed following a traffic accident in Merritt Township on Friday night, December 31. The deadly crash took place at around 6:44 p.m. at the intersection of W. Munger and S. Finn Roads.
A pedestrian was reportedly crossing at the intersection when they were hit by a black 2015 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck driven by a 71-year-old man. The injured party was transported to McLaren Bay Region hospital where he was later pronounced dead. The deceased victim was later identified as 52-year-old Michael W. Schlicker. No further information has been provided.
